"Easy Come, Easy Go!"

We’d been in the same home for 50 years, a large place with a swimming pool and big garden that was getting too much for us.   Here we have the freedom of not having the commitment of maintaining a 50 year old home with a big garden.

We spend 1 month here in the village and 2 weeks at Pine Point on the Yorke Peninsula – the best of both worlds, and we do that all year round. We used to do this when we lived in the house but we never felt comfortable leaving it.
Here, the security is fantastic, so we can leave and go to the shack and have nothing to worry about.

The other night, I took the grandkids out on the oval and taught them how to fly a kite.  It’s fantastic here, we love it.

The big bonus has been the people – everyone is very supportive.  It’s like the good old days when you knew everyone in your street.
