"Best thing we ever did!"

I had no intention of moving, my husband saw an editorial in the paper, came down on one of his walks and had a look.  We had visitors later that day, and he was telling them all about it.  They sounded interested so we hopped in the car and came down to see what was happening.  Alan asked me afterwards, ‘do you really like it?’  I didn’t know – I had just been going with the flow, and it wasn’t till then that I realised he was really keen.  So we came back, had another look and we signed up on the spot.

I  couldn’t wait to move in and we’ve been here 18 months now with newfound friends and companionship.  When my sister and her husband (who had no intention of ever moving!) came down, they took one look and signed up immediately.

I like the privacy and as well I’ve got everything at my fingertips, I even volunteer as receptionist in Townsend House.

All our visitors think it’s wonderful, they all say “oh! how spacious!”

It’s the best thing we ever did.
